Our story
An evolution in leadership
2015 — Founding
The Oktoberfest kick-off event in 2015 was a great success with an overwhelming response. Around 150 women from business, politics, science and media accepted the invitation. The unanimous tenor: There is a lack of networks in which women in management positions can exchange views on various topics across industries on an equal footing. Messe München's external Women's Association network was born — a platform on which women from all sectors of industry can network across topics.
2016 — First online presence
At the end of 2016, we went online with our own website to keep contact within the network alive. Here you can find portraits and contact details of our members, information on appointments and activities, and news about the topic of “women in management positions.”
2019 — Regular events in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin
In 2019, we started with two more locations: with Berlin, so that we are closer to the pulse of politics, and with the media center Hamburg for further interdisciplinary and cross-sector exchange.
2024 — realignment
We are moving in a new direction with a strengthened value proposition and are expanding our offerings for our members. In addition to proven cross-industry exchange opportunities, we now also offer support for the professional and personal development of our members and a community platform. The basic principles and our vision of connecting women remain the same.
